Image Licensing & Usage

All images created by Glynns Thomas Portraits are protected by copyright and are provided under license, not sold.

This page outlines how images may be used by clients and what is not permitted.

1. Copyright Ownership

All photographs remain the exclusive property of Glynns Thomas Portraits and are protected by copyright law.

Images are licensed, not sold.

​

In limited cases, full copyright ownership may be transferred only through a separate written agreement and additional fee.

​

2. Standard Client Usage Rights

Unless otherwise specified in writing, clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use their images for:

Business & Professional Use

  • Company websites

  • LinkedIn profiles and professional social media

  • Marketing materials

  • Press releases and publications

  • Internal company use

This license is intended to support professional branding and business visibility.

3. What Is Not Allowed

Without prior written permission, images may not be:

  • sold, sublicensed, or transferred to third parties

  • used in advertising campaigns outside the original company

  • altered beyond basic cropping (no filters, heavy retouching, or edits)

  • used in a way that is misleading, defamatory, or unlawful

  • submitted to stock photography platforms

4. Third-Party Use

If a third party (such as a partner company, publication, or vendor) wishes to use an image, they must obtain permission directly from Glynns Thomas Portraits. Additional licensing fees may apply.

5. Image Integrity

To maintain a consistent and professional standard:

  • Images should not be altered, filtered, or edited

  • Cropping for layout purposes is acceptable

  • Removing watermarks (if present) is not permitted

6. Portfolio & Marketing Use

Glynns Thomas Portraits may use images for:

  • portfolio display

  • website and marketing materials

  • social media

  • educational or promotional purposes

If confidentiality is required, this must be agreed upon in writing prior to the session.

7. AI, Scraping, and Unauthorized Use

Images may not be:

  • used for training artificial intelligence or machine learning systems

  • downloaded, scraped, or collected for data use

  • reused without permission from this website or any online gallery

Unauthorized use may result in licensing fees and legal action.

8. Expiration or Extended Licensing

Standard usage rights are perpetual for the original intended use.

If expanded usage is needed (such as national advertising campaigns or third-party distribution), a separate licensing agreement may be required.
